  • Can I use the PaceGuard with any pacemaker?
    Yes! The PaceGuard device was designed for the maximum size pacemaker/ICD. Please check with your physician to determine the size of your pacemaker/ICD if you are not sure.
  • Is the PaceGuard only for pacemakers?
    The PaceGuard was designed for pacemakers and ICDs, but has also been used to protect brain stimulator devices and chemotherapy ports. Please check with your physician to see if PaceGuard is right for you and your device/port.
  • Can I use the PaceGuard with any type of shirt?
    The PaceGuard device was designed to be used in conjunction with the custom pocketed shirt with Velcro fastening. We do not recommend the use of other shirts, as the PaceGuard device will not be secure.
  • What should I do if my PaceGuard breaks?
    The PaceGuard was designed and tested to withstand the force of a 60mph baseball*, and provides durable protection against most forces/objects in sports and physical activity. If, for some reason, your PaceGuard cracks, please contact us via the submission form on our website, at, or at 1-866-99PACER (72237). *Please see our PaceGuard Testing page for more detailed information on physical studies.
  • Do I need my doctor's permission to use the PaceGuard or return to activity?
    While PaceGuard does not require a physician's note for purchase, we strongly recommend consulting your physician before purchasing and using the PaceGuard device. Heart implant device recipients should not return to physical activity or sports without physician approval.
  • How do I place a return or exchange?

  • What is your return policy?
    We will gladly offer a refund for any purchase within 30 days of an order, less the initial shipping fee. Proper size shirt exchange will be honored within 30 days of an order. please contact us prior to any exchanges or returns.
  • How long does it take to ship my order?
    Orders will be processed within 48 hours. Shipping times will depend on which carrier is chosen. Weekend and holiday exclusions may apply. Z-Ray, LLC will not be responsible for shipping delays past the point of order fulfillment.
  • Does PaceGuard ship internationally?
    Yes! Transit times listed by shipping carriers are not guaranteed times. Z-Ray, LLC has no control over these times and cannot be responsible for any delays. Z-Ray, LLC will not be responsible for any extra incurred fees to the customer due to customs fees, duty fees, local carrier fees, and/or any other fees that may arise. Z-Ray, LLC has no control over any of these issues and these fees will be the sole responsibility of the customer. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.
